Thank you for allowing me to serve as Councilmember and Mayor over the last 8 years. I’m proud of our accomplishments in keeping local businesses viable through the pandemic by increasing outdoor spaces and reducing red-tape. By implementing safe routes to schools, bike and pedestrian master plans, and a school bus pilot program, we reduced greenhouse gas emissions and increased sustainability.
I worked hard to insure we stayed fiscally responsible by addressing pension liabilities and allocating our limited resources wisely. But there is still much to be done.
Silicon Valley's robust economy and the state’s one-size-fits-all mandates are pressuring Los Gatos to change, threatening our character and small town values. The Town needs experienced leaders who are skilled at working with our regional partners.
As Los Gatos Mayor, elected representative to multiple regional boards, and trained engineer, I am the best qualified person to address our current and future challenges.
I pledge to fight for local control so that we can preserve architectural compatibility, protect view sheds, and manage our land use in accordance with our specific needs. We must improve Highway 17 to keep through-traffic off Los Gatos streets. Safety of our residents is also a high priority. I will continue to advocate for civility, team work and common sense solutions to tough problems.
I would be honored to have your vote.
